Keyshia Cole was born on October 15, 1981 in Oakland, California. She released her debut album, The Way It Is, on June 21, 2005. The album debuted at number six on the U.S. charts with first week sales of 89,000 and peaked at number six on the U.S. Billboard 200. It spawned five singles, (I Just Want It) To Be Over, I Changed My Mind, I Should Have Cheated, Love and Never. The album eventually sold over a million copies. In 2007, Keyshia Cole released her second studio album, Just Like You. The album was nominated in the Best Contemporary R&B Album category at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards and ended up being certified platinum by the RIAA. She followed up the success of Just Like You with her final studio album, A Different Me. It generated two singles, You Complete Me, Playa Cardz Right and Trust and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. The third season of her BET reality series Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is premiered on Tuesday, November 12, 2008,and the season finale was aired December 30, 2008. In 2009, Keyshia Cole launched A Different Me Tour to promote the album of the same name.

Simple Plan

Simple Plan is a French Canadian pop punk band based in Montréal, Québec and formed in 1993. It’s line up includes Pierre Bouvier, David Desrosiers, Jeff Stinco, Sébastien Lefebvre and Chuck Comeau. In 2002, Simple Plan released their first studio album, No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls. It spawned four singles, I’d Do Anything, I’m Just a Kid, Addicted and Perfect. October 26, 2004, Simple Plan released their sophomore album, Still Not Getting Any. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and generated several singles including Shut Up!, Welcome to My Life and Crazy. Their third album, titled Simple Plan, was released on February 12, 2008. It peaked at number fourteen on the charts and sold over a quarter of a million copies. Three singles were released from the album, When I’m Gone, Your Love Is a Lie and Save You. Simple Plan also released two widely marketed live albums: Live in Japan 2002 (2003) and MTV Hard Rock Live (2005). “Your Love Is a Lie” was first publicly performed at a taping for YouTube on December 18, 2007. All the songs on the CD, except “Holding On” were played at a small show in Montreal on January 11, 2008.

JoJo

JoJo is the stage name of Joanna Noëlle Blagden Levesque. She was born on December 20, 1990 in Brattleboro, Vermont, and raised in Keene, New Hampshire. At the age of seven, JoJo appeared on the television comedy show, “Kids Say the Darndest Things: On the Road in Boston” with American comedian and actor Bill Cosby and she sang a song from singer Cher. After auditioning in the television show Destination Stardom, JoJo sang Aretha Franklin’s 1967 hit Respect & Chain of Fools. Soon after, she performed on Maury and performed. In 2003 JoJo has signed with Blackground Records/Da Family and begin working with some producers on her first debut album entitled JoJo. The album debuted and peaked at number four on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart selling 95,000 copies in its first week. It spawned three hit singles, Leave (Get Out), Baby It’s You and Not That Kinda Girl. It was certified platinum by the RIAA on November 15, 2004. On October 17, 2006, JoJo released her second studio album, The High Road. It debuted at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on November 28, 2006. JoJo’s latest studio album is All I Want Is Everything which was released in 2009.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is the stage name of Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. He was born in Long Beach, California on October 20, 1971. His mother nicknamed him “Snoopy” as a child because of the way he dressed and because of his love of the cartoon Peanuts. He would later change it to Snoop Doggy Dog and adopt it as his professional name. Snoop Dogg attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, then changed to Lindberg High School. He was later convicted for cocaine trafficking and served six months at the Wayside County Jail. Snoop Dogg came to attention of the music industry in 1992, through his vocal contributions on Dre’s The Chronic. He released his debut album on November 23, 1993. It was entitled Doggy Style and was released under the label Death Row Records. “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?” was the first single released from the album. It peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. Doggy Style has sold over five million copies in the United States and over seven million worldwide. Since 1993 Snoop Dogg has released nine other albums including Tha Doggfather, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, Ego Trippin’ and Malice In Wonderland. He has also starred in a number of feature films such as Training Day, Malibu’s Most Wanted and Hood of Horror.
