Seven meters high Golden Calf a month on the square Kouter in Gent, Belgium
On the 23rd November Netwerk Vlaanderen organises the public event Gold Fever on the Kouter in Gent. For the occasion the Danish artist Jens Galschiot comes to Belgium. He designed a Golden Calf. That sculpture will be carried by a hundred citizens along the banks on the square Kouter. Afterwards the Golden Calf will be placed on six meter high legs. |

AXA invests heavily in new US landmine producers
Today, 18th October, activists from the campaign “My Money. Clear Conscience?” symbolically demined the headquarters of AXA in Brussels. A landmine clearance team went in search of landmines, cluster munitions and other controversial weapons. This action is needed more than ever, as research from Netwerk Vlaanderen reveals that AXA invests heavily in two new US landmine producers. |
