Organisations and KrekelsparenWhen you open a Krekelsparen account, you can indicate an organisation as beneficiary from the Krekelsparen list. These organizations receive an annual income via the Krekelsparen. If your organisation would like to join the Krekelsparen, you can find more information here about the way that this scheme works: Krekelsparen Information for organisations (only in Dutch available). InterestYou can also make a contribution by giving up (part of) your interest to one of these organizations, or Netwerk. Giving up more than 30 euros interest per year in favour of an organisation in Belgium can be tax deductible. The organization can inform you whether it is recognized by the government to allow donations it receives to be tax deductible. Krekelsparen in figuresKrekelsparen has existed since 1984. At the moment, there are almost 9000 Krekelsparen accounts. In total, this accounts for around 70 million euro in savings that are being reinvested in a sustainable manner.
